The condensation that drips from the 90 degree fitting on the passenger side firewall from the AC is rust color and staining the driveway. Is this normal, never had any other vehicle stain like this. Anything I can do to stop this.
Sorry if this is in the wrong place I did not see any AC areas.
Thanks

It Sound Like The Evaporator Coil (inside) Needs Cleaning....

It's possible that the condensation is picking up some color off of the frame rail or some other metal component. If you once had a leaking battery it would have dripped in a similar location and could have eaten away the undercoating. The Evap coil and related parts inside are usually made of aluminum or copper so it is unlikely they are the cause of the stain.

Had the same driveway staining problem with my truck. I thought it was the AC too, but it endend up being the battery leaking. I put another brand new battery in it and a few months later it started leaking too. I now have an optima. Now my driver's side battery is leaking too. Another optima I guess. Something else for you to check for.

I did have issues with that battery a few months ago. I thought I cleaned it up but may have missed something. I will check the areas around it for problems.

Thanks

It must be picking up some color from the frame but I do not see where because the water drip is a clear as tap water and the part of the frame it hits is clean.
