Does any body have a squeaky driver side seat belt. My is so annoying. Just the slight movement of driving and the recoil mechanism squeaks. How can I stop it from doing this?

I've replaced several for the same thing. If under warranty, take it in. If not, you could try a lubricant, but be absolutely sure the lube will not damage the belt or retractor.

What dealer told me is they remove the cover, fully pull out the belt, then squirt a very small amount of lubricant on each side of the pully. Then they retract the belt back in.

Is that something the dealer has to do or could I do it?

So, does the cover pop off pretty easy? I started to try and do that, but I didn't want to break the cover locking tabs. I have tried to pull the belt out all the way and just spray a little on each side of the belt....it didn't really work. I took mine to the dealer and of course they couldn't duplicate the squeak. It has to be a little chilly out for mine to squeak.
