: Locking Fuel Cap

I have a 2006 LBZ. Back in April, I ordered a locking fuel cap for it from GM Parts Direct. Part number is 15070014, and it fits and works nicely.

Recently, another member saw the picture of the cap in my garage and asked where I got it. I told him, along with providing the part number. He is being told by his dealer(s) that this part won't work on the 2006! If this is true, how come it seems to be working fine on mine?

Is this one of those "I was happier when I didn't know" situations, or are there others out there using this cap? :cookoo:

I use a locking cap on my 2005. I have been using it for about a year now with no problems.

Hm, those sound like a good investment since I will be going to college soon you just never know. Can I ask you much much you paid for it?

I bought it from GM Parts Direct. It was only $8 and some change, but the shipping doubled the price. Still, with diesel $3.09 a gallon here, it's a worthy investment.

go to your local auto parts store and most likely they will have one to fit any vehicle.
