Hi.
My 2000 H1 Hummer is new to me with 17k miles. The truck is in new condition and has run perfect for the 4 weeks that I have driven it.
Last weekend the motor died while the truck was sitting at idle. It quit just as if you turned off the key. It started right up though. The next day it died while at low speed. Then later that day the truck would run a few seconds then die. This occured several times. I was able to make the few miles home by keeping the RPM's up. This feels like fuel starvation.
Anyone have experience.
Thanks,
Earl

Hi Wade,
Thanks for the quick reply and the welcome. I will check the truck tomorrow and post the results.

Could be a lot of things....

First check the fuel filter. If ok fire it up at idle and open the T handle found somewhere around your injection pump. Either she'll start draining diesel or shell wait about 30 seconds and die. Drainig diesel means you likely have other issues. If no draining diesel and she dies, your OPS and or Lift pump have gone out.... See the FAQ for more in depth details. :)
