I just had mine replaced under warranty. The truck was bucking (like it was running out of fuel) and after a couple days of this, my SES light came on and the truck intermittently would not start.

Have any of you techs had to replace these in other trucks?

Any idea what could have caused it to go bad?

Thanks!

Where on the engine is it located?

I forded some water that almost came up to the bottom of the doors the day before this problem surfaced, FWIW. I never really thought about it until now.

If it is very low on the engine it may have been submerged for a little while, the river crossing was about 150 feet across and I did it in the crawling gear. I don't think it was deep enough to be any higher than the oil pan gasket though.Edited by: Camstyn
