Here is the senario. 1/4 tank of fuel, edge on 3/5, going up a hill and I get on it till about 60mph, then let off. About 15 seconds later, I get a CEL and truck won't go over 2k rpm. So I get home and let it sit for a while and start it again. Light still on. The next day, I decide to take it for a spin and all is well except the light is still on. Go back home and turn it off and back on and the light goes out. Have not had a problem since. I did a search on "1093's" and "truck won't go over 2k" and a lot of your responses were to change the filter. I have 5k miles on this filter. But I also saw a couple post concerning lower fuel levels. I am pretty confident that the fuel is good because I literally only get fuel at 1 station unless I am on a trip. And this station gets a lot of use from semis. I did call onstar and she would not tell me the code. I asked her if it was a 1093 and she said that might be a good place to start because the light was from fuel pressure. Has this happened to a lot of you guys? Did everything reset pretty fast? Will this happen again more often now or were all the conditions just right for this to happen? Sorry for the long post. Just hoping someone could set my mind at ease. Thanks, Jerry.

Maybe do a search for "shim mod". Sounds like the problem is low fuel rail pressure.

You'll probably find it will get worse instead of better. It's never convenient when it happens.
I recommend the shim mod as well.

change the filter and check the fuel pressure regulator cause this sounds like eventually the fuel rail will burst if not taken care of. i talked with my gm rep and he said that gm has been having problems with bad fuel and this is what has been happening. there was one in the shop that day i was there with this problem.

My truck did the same thing last week on a trip pulling my 5er. I finally unplugged the edge and it runs fine. I called edge and they blamed it on fuel delivery problems also ,but told me to send it back anyway:grd: . I had new filters and even changed one on the road. My truck was not showing any codes but acted exactly as yours does. Unplug the edge and see if it still does it.

First you need to see if it's type 1 or type 2 P1093.
Type 1 - True fuel starvation. Replace filter.
Type 2 - Pressure relief valve popping. Use Shim Mod or EFILive tuning to stop it.

I had my truck loose power the other day when accelerating, it ran fine just had a hard time getting up to speed, so when I got home I replaced the fuel filter drove it around a bit, everything seemed fine, went to the WalMart the other night, went to leave and the truck wouldn't start, it was raining by the way, so I bleed the fuel line thinking I had some air, still nothing, got back in looked up at the attitude monitor... nothing.. it was blank so I unplugged the edge box under the hood, it started right up and ran fine. Im guessing it was a edge problem all along.

My truck did the same thing a couple months ago... took it to dealer... fuel injector harness had gone bad.
