Yesterday I made a thread stating that I thought I may have killed my battery while detailing my truck, I then had a reply that stated I may have got water somewhere that it shouldnt be under the hood when i cleaned the engine, I sprayed it down with simple green then hosed it off, the engine was cold. I then went to start it a few hours later and the battery was dead so i jumped it and then it started acting up later on by:

1. green blinker arrows dimly lit
2. blinkers wouldnt work
3. fog lights wouldnt turn off
4. "service 4x4" light came on
5. "brake" and "abs" light flashed
6. 4x4 red neutral light came on and I had to hit "2x4" to get the truck to move

however engine power never missed a beat, I then trickle charged it last night started it this morning and it was fine, i then ran it 12-15 miles and no problems except the 4x4 switch kicked to neutral, BUT then my wife drove it the same 12-15 miles and all of the above things happened again ???

I pulled the top off of the engine fuse box and nothing seemed wet!

ANY SUGGESTIONS before i take it to the dealer to get them to put it on the computer?

Sorry for all of the panic everyone, The problem was a BAD Driverside battery, I installed a Ned Duralast Gold with 800 CCA and no problems at all. :ro)

I've read that it is generally better to change both batteries on our diesels instead of 1 at a time. JMHO.

I got too much water in the underhood fuse box once. Couldn't see it unless I unplugged a relay then I could still see water there. I stuck the shopvac hose in the blow side and blew the water out.
