Picking up my LBZ Silverado tomorrow- :D . Going to Canada next Saturday and wondering when I can tow, as in what mileage? Not a big trailer. Don't even have the manual yet to read so though I would ask.

I towed the first day with mine. I don't see a big problem with it especially if you're not towing real big.

What part of Canada are you going to?

Manual recommends a 500 mile break in. I waited that long before towing.

I would suggest at least 500 to 1000 miles before you tow heavy. Many people towed with them from day one and have no problems to report. That will be up to you. If you follow the manual it will tell you over 500 miles and then you will be fine.. Good luck, welcome and happy reading..

Mine works for a living, Put the trailer on at 121 miles, only about 7K lbs. though.

Thanks Gentlemen!

I guess 500Mi it is then!

Can't tell you how happy I am to be out of Toyota World and into real truck world. Will be even more happy when I put that trailer on the 2500HD.

Just love Allison Transmissions. Little point I bet you guys don't know. BMW uses Allison Transmissions. I'm sure they don't admit it openly but they do. Wife's 530 is such a sweet ride. When you hit a hill even with even pressure on the throttle the trans senses that load and bang downshifts and you stay at speed.
