Hey everyone! Not only new to your forum but new to the diesel truck market also. I have driven 2500 HD crew cab trucks since 2001. Had two both with 8.1 4x4 with Allison 5 speed. I put about 80K miles on a truck in 3 years. With GM offering 0% for a 72 month loan I figured now is as good a time as any to make the trade. This time I went for the Duramax 4x4 crew cab Allison 6 speed automatic. I pull a car trailer that weighs about 10,000 lbs fully loaded. I have pulled as much as 2500 miles per trip. The 8.1 did a great job but now I can't wait to pull with this. The first 406 miles I put on the 2006 I got 18.86 mpg city/highway . I was excited. I only got about 11 city/highway with the 8.1
