: Advice, no invoice for OH warrenty repairs
CRFer 07-04-2006, 11:14 AM I can't believe this...
I took my truck into the dealer on 6/2/06 for OHing (2nd time). They already did TSB for OHing on a previous visit. Nothing wrong... Took them over 30 days to determine that the truck is ok (10 days), order parts (2 weeks) and install that POS extreme conversions CAI (2 days) and its now ready. However, they don't have an invoice for the work... Dealer says it will be sent in the mail... WTF? Can't call customer service cause they're close for the 4th.
I guess I'll wait till tommorow to try and get some legal advice. I know I can't take delievery of vehicle with aftermarket parts and not have documentation indicating what they did it.
Oh, I need this invoice because it puts me over the 30 days for the AZ lemon law thing.
What do you guys think they're up to? Is GM real this evil and dishonest?
dmax3500 07-04-2006, 11:28 AM go back to the dealer ,by law you to be given a copy of the work order and what they did,, if not call gm ,dealer could be screwing them too

Thanks... Called GM and they are out today. I'll just wait until tommorow. Crazy...
swatkins 07-04-2006, 04:03 PM Is it the law that you are to be given a copy right then or just "given a copy".
When I take a patient to an ER I am suppose to leave a copy of the medical report for my treatment and care of the patient.. We try to do this but we are sometimes so busy there is not time or our computer/printers mess up.
By law I have 24 hours to furnish them a copy and we can fax it to them if needed... Sometimes the receiving paramedic or nurses get really bent out of shape because we don't leave them a report but they don't really know the law....
davey jones 07-04-2006, 06:28 PM I bet you recieve it soon. I had my harness repaired and the truck was done but the paperwork was not. The servicewriter said I could just go and he would send it. It came in the mail within the next couple few days. It was first thing in the morning I guess the paperwork dept was just getting in. In your case it seems they have a lot of paperwork to get everything on it and it may take hours. Better to not have you wait. Don't worry.
CRFer 07-04-2006, 09:17 PM I hope I'm just being paranoid but a lot is riding on this last invoice. I'm just anxious to get it and be done with the useless dealer visits. I did not find anything in Arizona law which requires an invoice. Do not know if its a federal thing or not?

Thanks guys, I'm feeling a little bit better. Hopefully, everything will work out tommorow...
CRFer 07-05-2006, 12:21 PM Over 24 hours to write up the invoice? Still not available as of 8am this morning. Lawer is not up yet. Still waiting to talk to him...
I can't believe it takes over a day to type in the following:
Still can't find anything wrong with the vehicle, checked xyz
Called regional service manager and ordered the "fix"
Waiting on xyz parts...
Installed xyz parts...
BTW, they had the vehicle for 11 days and did not put a single mile on it. They put 6 miles on it when they did the OHing TSB and wrote up a full paragraph in less than 24hours. I doubt that they did much of anything before the "fix" was ordered.
davey jones 07-05-2006, 08:02 PM If your going to lemon law it and need evidence perhaps one of the guys here will do a vin check and get a printout of when and what was done for your truck.

CRFer 07-06-2006, 01:00 AM Well, I am an a$$... Two days and right at closing they got-r-done but they were good and put the true in and out dates. I'm well above 30 days now. So, I can use the truck again but I'll have to nurse it over the hills and eat the bad fuel mileage until she gets really fixed.
Boy that Xbox is getto... I'll post some pics on another thread.

I can't belive GM is using that so-called X-box. I went to where it is made and there is no way it's any better then KBs or TXs cold air intakes.
