im installing my gauges and i already got my pyrometer installed and it works fine....im nervous about drilling the intake with it on there, and i want to take it off...looks like there are a few gaskets i may have to replace, and the buts arent that easy to get to...anyone ever done this on an LBZ? all i want to do is take it off so i can drill/tap for the boost fitting. Any help is appreciated.

you can take it off if you want but that will be a PITA, just drill it on the truck w/ the engine running.
There is a thread about this process, will someone help me by posting it? thanks

i believe u are talking about drilling the EXHAUST manifold on the truck while running...i already did that, im just worried about drilling the INTAKE manifold, and i would like to take it off to do so. I contacted Superdiesel and they have a SD manifold for the LBZ so i think i may buy that, but i still need some help and advise getting that stock one off

The way I did mine was at the intake I took of the Intercoler tube and put a shop vack on the intake so that when you are drilling all of the shavings will go into the shop vac here is the link of the picture at were I installed mine.

mine just seems hard to get to...instead of the the the intake coming from the side, it goes down towards the radiator, then turns into that plastic tubing...ill take a pic later and post it, and if you guys could tell me what i take off and replace the SD manifold with that would be f'n awesome!
