I went to the landfill today and weighed my truck. It is a 2wd crew cab 3500 LT1 with D/A combo and it weighed in at 7060 pound with 3/4 tank of fuel.

My truck with the 5th wheel hitch installed, a full load of diesel fuel, and me weighs 7760 pounds--4260 on steer axle, and 3500 on the drive axle.

I will be adding a gooseneck hitch and at least a 55 gallon auxilliary fuel tank. Those two things should push me close to 8K.
