I know its old news, you can get 0% financing or $2500 rebate on GM trucks. Also $500 LBZ rebate added to either.

There is a $500 rebate even if you take the financing ...?

Yes, that's $3000 total or financing + $500

If you are going to keep the truck for the life of the loan, then 0% financing is your best bet. If you think you might trade it off after a year or two, then your payoff will be lower with the rebates.

Exactly,

As long as the payment is affordable with the 0% then why pay a bank finance charges.............;)

From the guy doing the paperwork, he "found" the LBZ rebate. I bought a truck yesterday, took the rebates

Any info on the rebate of 500.00 you have would be appreciated, they did not give me that, I asked but they said there was none? I haven't picked up my truck yet so I would be interested to ask them about the 500.00.

YUP me too - I need to know about that extra $500 when you are dealing with thieves you have to have all the ammo you can muster.

No dealer specific - they are all THIEVES ...!!!

This may be regional (SE for us)" bonus cash" rebate. My rebates were
$1500 rebate no 0% financing
$1000 down payment assistance
$500 LBZ Bonus Cash (it's $1000 for other than LBZ)
Try a search for GM LBZ bonus cash and your region

The GM website says 0% is "Available only to residents of CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, RI, VT and select counties of NY, OH, PA, VA and WV.' Also, "Not compatible with other offers." I'm picking up a new LBZ at noon today w/ G.M.I.D. pricing and 0%/72. The $500 was NOT stackable here in my upstate NY county when using the 0%. I asked then watched as the finance mgr went thru all the program/rebate combos (looking for GM Commercial Upfit program or equivelent 'unadvertised' special), but no dice here. :(

There was a -$500 on mine but that was in the sticker price for the HD power package which is the "LBZ" engine, maybe thats what the dealer was talking about????

You are in the Western region. There is a $500 LBZ rebate in your region, I have seen it myself.
Ask the business manager to check the rebates for your vin number, the LBZ rebate is on the top of the list. The very first rebate listed.

I will have to check on this as well. Going in tomorrow to further discuss the paperwork. I am taking the rebates as most likely I will not keep the truck to payout. Here in Texas IIRC the rebates are a total of $3500. I will have to see if this other $500 is applicable to this deal. Plus I am getting a good deal on my trade in.

My buddie just bought an 06 lly-(wed 6/28) . The dealer called him on Fri. after he closed on the deal and told him they owed him $500 + tax. We were shocked:eek: . They cut him a check for $525:)

mcdmax - where does your buddy live? If MA, it would seem to go against what is posted on GM's website and I guess I'll have to have another 'talk' with my dealer.

Anybody know what the new deal is tomorrow? I think most everything expires today, just wondering what GM has up their sleeve now....

Guys,

Just bought one yesterday. There is $500 on the LBZ but that is in the sticker. After that there is $3000 rebate. If you take 0% then the $3000 rebate is gone. Combined with GMID I got a total of $7K off of list but then again that is NJ so the particular areas of the country may be different.

I bought my truck here in Texas, and was told I had three options:

0% APR w/ no rebates
$3000 in rebates
6.9% APR w/ $2500 in rebates

I took the 6.9% (credit not even close to good enough to get the 0%) and the $2500 rebates. The $2500 was $1500 Trade-In Assistance, and $1000. I'm not sure what the $1000 was.

I bought my 2006 LBZ June 28 and got 0% for 72 months + $500 buyer assistance and $1000 additional trade in allowance. Salesman said the $1000 was because I traded a newer truck (2003). I did not argue, just took the money. At 0% I had them add in ziebart rust protection with additional sound deadner and Rhino liner. About $7 a month at 0%. Why pay it up front?:ro)

Would that 1000 be your trade in tax allowance.

I am really not sure. The salesman just said it was additional trade in money. Maybe the dealership was adding it in. I did not know it was even coming until we sat down with the final numbers. I forgot to mention I even get GMS discount on top of everything else.
