Hey Guys,

I've read most of the Dodge threads in this forum and you all seem pretty knowledgable. I just purchased a new RAM and am looking into power upgrades. The new truck is an '04 Dodge 2500 Cummins HO 305/555 4x4. The truck has a lot of power, but I'm looking for more. Thank God I got out of my 03' Z71 and got this new Cummins. :oD My Chevy was a year old and saw the shop over 40 times for warranty work.

This is my first Diesel and I understand that this engine has great potential for power upgrades. I was curious what the best upgrades are and what order they should be done in. I understand that it is important to start with the gauges and the intake/exhaust. I've looked at other upgrades online such as the Banks Six Gun, Edge, etc. Which one of these do you all feel is best? On the Banks website, they talk about the important of not over-fueling. So, keeping this in mind, are there other injectors I can purchase that will also up my power?

You can see what I'm getting at. I want to step up the power, but I'm just not sure of the best route to get there. Any input is appreciated!!

Guess I'm lucky, hahaha. My best friend is a diesel mechanic for a cummins dealer that also has a parts center. Can get any part at cost. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif Oh the bad luck! haha

Thanks for the welcome guys! Looks like hoot and dpower are a bit slow on the draw this week. I was reading through hoot's posts over the past few weeks. His locomotive horn looks pretty kewl. Of course -- I did have to try out his intake mod. *smile*

Hey, do any of you know what size tires I can go with? Somebody mentioned 35's or 315's with either a 2" front level kit or with a 3" lift. I don't do much pulling, so my truck is for show. I just like the diesel. :o) Do any of you have any pics of trucks that have 3" lifts?

I'm sticking a little light with my truck. Intake mod, exhaust and tires is about all I'm doing to this one as far as mechanical alterations.

Trucks got plenty of power. I don't want to start worrying about the trans or warranty.

You can fit 315's on it no problem. No lift at all necessary. I may get the front leveling kit just to give it that level look. Some guys are putting them (315's) on the premium aluminum wheels. I like the H2 wheels better. They are a better fit on the rim and you have perfect backspacing and offset.

Hey Hoot,

I saw your pics with the new H2 wheels and they look great. How much additional backspacing did you gain? Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but the wheel is the same size as factory as far as height and width, right?

I have no idea how to answer your questions unless I measure the stock wheels and the H2 wheels which I can't do. The H2 wheel is 17 x 8.5. I don't think the factory rim is that wide.

Thanks for the complements. I love them.
