Does anyone know what I need to splice into inorder to wire some lights under my truck to come on when the door is opened or the truck is unlocked from remote. Any ideas I'd appreciate it!!

None of the courtesy lamp wires are outside of the cab so our going to have to connect inside the cab and then bring it out yourself. Its quite easy to push a coathander through the factory grommit and pull your wires through, just unwrap the electrical tape from both sides first then feed the hanger between the wires and the rubber.

i tired coming off the back up lamps on the trailer harness. Since they came on with the perimiter lighting was my thinking. I was trying to wire the backuplights with the replacement bumper. These for some reason work with the truck in reverse, but not with the perimeter lighting control.

My 2003 has these lights under the mirrors. So there must be something in the door for that option. my 2004 has camper mirrors so no lights for the expensive truck.

Yes inside the door there are courtesy lamp wires, but not under the body. Also those courtesy lamp wires do not run from the body to the door, they lights connect straight to the PDM/DDM and are turned off and on via the data bus.

Aight, so basically I need to just tap into my dome lights?

The best place is in the underdash fuse box, plug C10 pin B and C. Those are extra in the trucks and used for the rear door lights in the SUV's. So they are unused. Go to a napa store and get a gm metripack .280 female terminal, then clip off the locking tang and you can then insert it into the plug. Then you can feed that out wherever you want.
