345 miles and 20 gallons to fill it...that's 17.25 mpg, and I'm not sure how full the dealer had it at delivery. Mix of city and highway miles, although varying speeds quite a bit. So far, so good!!:)

Just filled our new DMAX tonight for the first time. The DIC showed 14.7mpg with a total of 500 miles on the odo. Mainly city driving with a lot of hills, southwest Pennsylvania. So far much better mpg than the 2001 Silverado HD we replaced which got about 8mpg with the same driving.

I crept around, drove 50-55 the first 500 miles and got 17mpg, next 2000 miles were 15mpg with normal driving.
That's mostly city and short highway trips with a lot of hills.
FWIW The mpg towing our 6000lb travel trailer ranges from 11.5 to 14.5
The 11.5 driving 70-75 Interstate highway with the cruise on.
The 14.5 driving 40-55 two lane highway, no cruise.

I saw 18mpg on my first tank or two... and that was using winterblend back in Nov of 2005. After the first tanks the numbers plummeted to arround 14. Keep us posted

Sounds about right. After 3,000 miles, mine has settled into a steady avg around 17-18 mpg mixed driving. One trips it gets up near 20 mpg with the cruise set around 70 and turning shy of 2,000 rpms. Seems like if you can keep the rpms at or below 2 grand, then the mileage in this range.

Mines bone stock and turning stock Bridgestone 245s. 4x4 crewcab LBZ 6-sp auto.

Fill it up whenever it gets down to 3/4 full. Not really easier on you wallet but better on you psyche.

My brother in law just got his new LBZ. We took it on a 1000 mi. trip this past weekend we averaged a little above 18mpg every tank. Pretty much all highway driving, mileage was figured by hand. We were empty the first 500 mi. and had about 700lbs. in the bed for the return 500mi.
