Upon starting truck in the morning , the engine is louder for a few minutes than it is the rest of the day . Drive down the road a little and can hear it slowly return to normal . I`m wondering if it`s the fan kicking in , anybody else notice this ? Thanks

I have an 02 and in the mornings especially in the winter time, the engine runs louder and you do hear the fan more thru the first and second gear while it gets up to speed and gets warmed up. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Now, if it pours out white smoke for a long time that's different story. Hope I never see that... Or see it not long before I hit 200K miles...:D
