I recently installed a '98 Powerstroke Ambulance motor in
my '95 5 speed crewcab dually. Since the computer plug
ins were different we didnot change the computer and
since it ran decent left it alone until I had more time.
The time is now and my question is, since the '98
ambulance motor and computer were automatic and the plug
ins are different can/would I gain to try to have the '98
program "flashed" into my truck. The truck runs better
late on a cool night than in heat. What about going to a
chip instead of trying to fix my ECU?
Also would removing or replacing the converter and or
muffler help mileage/power?
Any help or ideas APPRECIATED!!!
