I am thinking of getting a Volant intake for my LBZ. What do you think of this new kit?

Well first off.....WELCOME TO DIESELPLACE. :ro)

2nd, I have never purchase items from them. But look like a nice price (on sale) and free shipping is good.

3rd, I dont have a LBZ BUT been using Volant on my LB7 and have not had any problems and think the Primo filter (8 layers) is a great filter.

4th, I think someone here tried it and their engine started throwing codes. I could be wrong but do a search and see.

That is where I purchased my Volant exhaust from. I actually found him on ebay, called him up and he cut me a good deal since I had to pay taxes, then I went to his house in Harahan and picked it up "I am in Marrero".

and as for the intakes, I think they are pretty useless and you should see more of a gain with a full catless exhaust, or a tuner.

I myself am using the DiabloSport Predator, but I have an LLY. I believe they just released a tuner for the LBZ though

Why would you want the OEM intake?

I have an 05 that takes air from the engine compertment. -:t The 06 LLY and LBZ have a factory cold air intake. I want to keep the factory look while getting the benefit of the cold air intake.
