: Cat food in my airbox!

Just opened up my airbox to check my filter. I have just under 11K on my 05. Took out the filter and damned if there isn't 100 or so little pieces of cat food in my airbox. Censored I am guessing maybe mice put them there? Anybody else ever had anything like this happen?

the only thing I'd be concerned about is what side of the filter you found them on.. LOL

Oh yeah, those little critters will fill the nooks and crannies of your vehicle full of dog or cat food! I once got about 10 pounds of dry dog food stashed in the heating ducts of my car - that's what happens when you have mice, a big ol bag of dog food and your car in the same garage!

Luckily the food was under the filter. Imagine if that critter had chewed through my filter and I sucker that food up into the turbo............could have been ugly.

Funny, I keep the truck outside, we don't have cats, or cat food. Time to pull the pellet gun out on the neighbor cats:muahaha:

One thing I'd be concerned about is the propensity of rodents to chew on wires. Mice, rats, squirrels all like to gnaw on wire and they can really screw up your ride. I'd put some traps or something out to get rid of them.

I found a entire bird nest under my filter, ther was only a small hole about four inches where the air was going through the filter.

We would take those apart when I was in school. Always liked science... now that I'm thinking about it, want to send me a box of 'em?

Sometimes I park on the street, and I can see the truck from the front window. You can watch the squirrels jump up onto the tranny skid plate and drop their nuts in there. I have been laughing about it, but that truck does have some funny wiring issues...

...Time to pull the pellet gun out on the neighbor cats:muahaha:

I guarantee it aint the cat storing the food in there. Shooting your neighbors cat will make the problem worse by giving free reign to the rodent. Even if you shot the cat dead and the neighbor didn't get a new one, the rodent will store whatever food he eats in there. Instead you can ask them to put their cat food in a plastic container which might help. If the food is out for the cat to eat all the time, taking it away might make the cat hungrier which can turn it into a hunter.

my dad is a mechanic, he said one time he filled nearly a 5 gallon bucket full of dog food out of muffler and exhaust system. Customer complained the car smelled weird. Damn mice
