So if an auto part outlet (Summit, Jegs) sells a discounted pipe that's a true 5 " is there any sense in spending $300.00 to $1000.00 more for brand name. Also a local muffler shop said he could 5 inch my truck for about $400.00. What do you guys think? Does anyone have a pipe other than a name brand? I need more turbo whine asap:ro)

do what makes you happy. Every place can get the pipe from the same location, it's the design and fitment that is the issue. If you are getting a custom one installed and you are happy with it, then do it.

I have a Jeg's 5" and I love it. It has great hangers and took about an hour to put on after getting the old exhaust off. Sounds awsome, took away my turbo lag, and my friends that ride with me think my turbo sounds like a semi's (they aren't that familiar with diesels though). The best part is when I cruise at 70-75 there is very little drone in the cab.

Yep Yep. Jeg's here too. No muffler though. I was impressed with the quality and such, but most importantly the price.

i had $350 system from shopdiesel.com on my ford and it was great. easy install and no problems at all! i am guessing it is what i am going to do to tthis truck. seems to be the cheapest alternative out there that i know of!

the only thing is the fitment of a custom job. I have a magnaflow and I like it, but the other day at a red light in town another d max came up beside me and got on it when it turn green, dont know what he had as far as a muffler but from the looks of it it was custom, but the sound was bad *** wish mine sounded like that.
