New Duramax Owner! I Read Talk About Hood Change, Can Anyone Explain When The Larger Hood Came Out For Duramax And Is That The Only Body Change That Has Been Done In 6 Years? I Noticed My Hood Looked Higher Than Couple Other Duramax's Ive Seen. Just Purchased 2006 Blue Granite.

01-02's are the same with the wide grille bar and raised hood with front fenders that matched the rest of the truck.

03-04's have the slanted headlights, different grille with bar, new hood (not raised) and fenders that look like they don't belong with the rest of the truck. 05 non HD's have this same look.

05-07 classics have the raised hood back with a new grille missing the grille bar and chrome around the air inlet part of the grille. Headlights stayed the same as the 03-04's.
