Well after my dad drove my Duramax with a juice/attitude combo he wanted to know if I could tune his truck to run like mine. I said I could probably give it some more nuts but it wouldnt run with minehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif

Here is the deal. He has a 01 F550 4x4 with an auto. It is his work truck. Big box on the back, big transfer tank for fueling tractors, plows snow, tows skidsteers pretty much daily. Its a heavy pig and gets worked hard. Another problem being his employees drive it quite a bit and even if there was a 8" pyro guage in plain view they would still run it well past the red and wonder why she scattered. Some of his employees aint the brightest and really dont give a hoot. Something selectable might also be a bad idea since the nimrods would probably set it to kill and try to race a mustang with a trailer on the back and nuke something. Also dont want to puke the auto.

So is there anything out there that is pretty much set and forget and not worry about nuking something? Or something with an auto egt back down or the like? I need something that is 100% safe to run the crap outa, he isnt looking to win races just give it a bit more power. Even with the 513's it dosnt like to get outa its own way.

Other upgrades needed? I will probably recomend he gets a replacement muffler, nothing loud just a bit better flowing. I dont think he wants a totaly new exhaust system.

This needs to be pretty much trouble free and even though I will probably install a pyro I wouldnt expect anyone to look at ithttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif. Am I asking too much? Any product out there? Any custom tuner places? I like the edge but I dont know if their moduel will work? And they say they cant to a custom low HP tune.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

Any good Ford sites out there?

Talk to Dennis Perry at www.tsperformance.com (http://www.tsperformance.com) He can do just about anything you want with a chip. Even negative tunes and lower speed limiter if you wish.

You know as fun as it sounds I would leave the truck alone if it's being driven by employees. Especially if it's already loaded up with several thousand pounds of weight. If your dad want's to go fast he should get his own personal truck and mod it. And keep the keys to himself.
