I've always wanted to find out what my truck legitimately does ever since installing the tuner/intake/exhaust combo. Put it down the track during this past Friday night's test & tune at the IHRA Grand Bend Motorplex in Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada. First run I launched in 2WD and used up about 5000 miles worth of 4 Michelins - didn't get traction (the starter wasn't even going to put me in the water box because he didn't think I'd be able to spin 4 tires even in the water lol). My second run I skipped the water box and launched in 4WD. I managed a .077 RT, 2.047 @ 60', 6.123 @330', 9.698 @ 1/8 (@68.38mph), 12.776 @ 990', and 15.423 @ 1/4 (@84.66mph). Didn't break anything so I quit there. Not sure how these times compare to others - any input? Today I read the great sticky on how to drag for noobs - wish I had all that great advice on Friday night! I'm learning from some of the posts now that I should consider tie rod sleeves, cognito braces, and lowered torsion bars. Thanks for all the helpful advice!
Sounds right in line when I had my Juice I ran a 15.17.

What did you have the edge set at?
Your 60' foot time isn't bad for a dually... You are right though, you don't want to launch in 4wd without the sleeves.
Good reaction time for your first time out!):h
Depending on the track surface you should be able to launch in 2wd with some rpms without spinning the tires... I normally launch at 1000 rpm, but this last time at the track I decided to bump it up to 1500 to see if it would stick... It did, and I went from 2.5X in the 60' to 2.2X, so instead of my normal 15.5X dail-in times I was dailed at 15.2

Against my better judgement based on all the warnings I've read/heard, I set my Juice to level 5 - I figured if I'm going to see what the truck can do, I might as well set it to the max and deal with broken parts later if needed. I left the "safety settings" in place like the limited EGT etc.
My first launch in 2WD I had spooled up too far and when I let go of the brakes the torque set in and I lost traction right off the line - nice smokey burn-out though, made for good pictures. Next run in 4WD I spooled up about the same but traction wasn't an issue. It's surprising that a crew cab dually can launch that hard - I wasn't expecting such a jump. As typical for diesel though, it got a bit weezy at the end.
Extremely addictive!
Nice run at 15.17 Lock. Likewise for your 15.18 MT Dmax Squid. At 1/100 of a second difference, sounds like the 2 of you would have a great race!

Ok now you guys need to get your tranny's done, put in a TTS extreme or one of the new EFI big hp tunes and get into the 13's. :D
Add a little nitrous to that and you'll be in the 12's :ro)
