Wasn't sure exactly where to put this....

I know that before the new dual pleated filters there was a real problem with clogged injectors. How worried should I be about this now on an '06 LLY?

Which brings up the discussion of extra filtration. I've seen the Nicktane as well as the one Greg @ Lubrication Specialists has. So here are my questions:

-Is extra filtration as important as it was pre-dual pleated filters?
-Does changing the factory filter more often help enough?
-Is any extra filtration better than just more regular filter changes?
-Does extra filtration require lift pumps for moderatley tuned trucks?
-Am I being paranoid and should I just throw down a couple hundred $$ for piece of mind?

Thanks

No, it's not "as important"
No, changing it before it is mostly used up it a waste of $$$.
Yes
No
I'm going to get one just because I plan on keeping my truck for a long time.

No military for me...but I have complete respect for all those who have served our great country.

River Rat comes from the fact that I spend as much free time as I can burning dead dinosaurs driving my boat on the Colorado river. :ro)

Thanks, then maybe the Nicktane as well as an AmsOil dual bypass for the oil as well. I plan on keeping my truck for a long time, or at least putting a lot of miles on in it a short time.
