What would be the easiest way to remove the 4x4 stickers off the back corners of my truck? Thanks for any help

3M makes this thing called a "stripe eraser", it goes on a drill arbor (supplied) and it works slicker than snot. About 30 bucks at Car Quest. I would think most body repair supply places would also carry them. They do not harm paint.

Hot day.

Patience.

Fingernails.

Don't get in a rush, take your time, and it comes off with no evidence.

The newer the truck is the easier it is too.

I used Goo Gone. Worked really well. Bought it at AutoZone.

I used a little sunlight, my fingernails, and my patience too. Like McRat said, No evidence whatsoever. And to go along with what MaxPower said, my truck was only about 4 months old.

That is what I used....then goo gone to get rid of residue and then a little wax to ensure it is protected underneanth!

Ditto on the hair dryer. Credit card to get the edge up and peel with patience.

As a preventative measure, if ordering the truck, choose the "9R1 - Decal delete, Pickup bed" option.

Also available: "9M4 - Decal delete, tailgate"

(Both of these are on page 38 of the 2006 2500HD order book)

There's also the "8F2 - Ornamentation, delete" option, which deletes all the decals & nameplates, but that requires an upfitter order type.

I took my truck to a local body shop and had them buff off the decals. It took less than a 1 min. and they did it for free.

If you have trouble getting the residue off try a can of 3M adhesive remover(available at auto parts store for about $7). I have never tired goo gone on paint but the 3M works like a charm. Just be sure to rinse the spot and apply some fresh wax.

Just Kidding! I Just Did The Same Thing! Removed Sticker From My Toy Hauler For New One's. I Agree With Other Posts, The Sun Is 1st Most Important!!!!! Turn Your Truck To The Warm Sunshine And Let Your Fingers Do The Picking. That Is The Safest Way!!!

Just removed mine last night. It was probably 85 out yesterday, and I did it last night. Used the my fingernail, and removed both sides with absolutely no residue in about 5 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was. Looks so much better. Cheapest upgrade ever. :)

Agree on the hair dryer, or a heat gun set on real low. I removed mine when the truck was two years old, no residue and no paint fade to worry about. Took about 15 min on a warm day.

Heat gun or hair dryer, finger nails, plastic razor blade if available (or VISA* card)

Goo-Gone to remove any leftover residue using soft terry cloth.

*VISA, its everywhere you want it to be!*

Mine jumped off with the pressure washer. I wasn't trying to remove them at the time, but oh well.

I have thought about removing my 4x4 stickers for some time but never really decided to do it. Reading this post today pushed me over the edge and I went out and peeled them off in about 15min with just a spec or two of glue left on the truck. My truck is an '02 and they came off that easy, I didn't figure they would.

I bought a can of 3M adhesive remover about 6 months ago when I removed the vent visors from the Yukon we bought the wife and had nearly the whole can left. That stuff is great.

I used a hair dryer and they both came off in less than 2 minutes each. A little wax and good as new.

Mine came off in one beer - finger nails and a ball game on the radio. Cleaned the surface with simple green when I was done and applied a coat of wax - its like they were never there. Badges on the tailgate were a little more complicated but only just a little.
