First off - thanks for all the advice you guys have given to other members! I've been reading some archived posts, and you guys really know your stuff. I have a question though, that I can't find an answer to:

just got my first Chevy, it's a 2006 2500 extended cab without the sunroof and i HATE the overhead console. I've seen all the posts about swapping it out with one from a tahoe or suburban, but my question is, exactly what years from which models will give me something like the one in this thread: http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85369&highlight=overhead+console

This looked like a great install, and I really like the extra long console. I need homelink too, but can add that once I get the right console if it doesn't come with it. So- which models/years will the console transfer from? Thanks in advance, you guys are a great help to a former Ford owner, recent convert.:grd:

I've seen that console in '97 - 99 supercab and crewcab GM pickups. My '97 C1500 supercab had that console with the homelink in it. Also, this console was available in the Yukons, Tahoes and Subs up to 2002. Maybe later, I'm not sure.

Now that's a neat upgrade but it won't work in my CC as I have the rear DVD.

my 2002 crew cab 3500 lt had a long roof console , look on ebay their $25.oo-50.oo
