Couple of questions.

On the Dana rear, do you have to have an additive for the limited slip if you use something like Castrol 75/90 hypoid?

Can you use Mobil1 synthetic without an additive on the Dana and AAM? TIA.

You need limited slip if you have clutches. Go by your owners manual because these trucks come with different units depending on the year.

Your 2004 truck doesn't have a Dana rear. Of that's the one you are refering to than you do not need limited slip additve. The Anti-Spin does not use clutches.Edited by: hoot

Hacksaw,

Mobile 1 Synthetic. Used it in my old Duramax and just changed the rear end fluid in the Dodge. It is NOT Dana....American Axle, same as the GMC.

Simple change in my Dodge that took just over 4 qts. Man that's beefy inside there.
