I Just purchased a 2003-up Aux Inputs box from JPS Custom. It appears that I will need a power supply for the box when the radio is on. Where can I pick up power for it and have it turn off when the ignation is off. Any help would be appricated. The reason I got this was so I could use my IPOD through the radio. I wonder if I can use XM satellite with it to. It has RCA connections. www.jpcustoms.com (http://www.jpcustoms.com) is the website.

Homehandyman,
If you don't mind, I'm jumping on this post too... I installed an aftermarket stereo on my old 96 Chevy and forgot which ignition wire I spliced into... on my new 04 I can't remember which ignition wire to tap and don't want to mess anything up. Right now the stereo has to be turned off/on manually everytime I shutdown/start the truck. Thanks!

Count me in as another freeloader who is getting in on this thread. I want to install a 350-400 watt power inverter and need a fused power supply that switches off with the ignition to avoid run-down. Any ideas anyone?

For things that only draw a small load, I've used the rear wiper circuit in the driver’s side I\P fuse block. I just have to remember to turn stuff off before I turn on the rear wipers.
StraitDiesel-you can tap the same circuit and it ill work for the radio, however you're really better of getting something like a PAC C2R-GM24 data bus interface.
maynard- I wouldn't run an inverter strait off the ignition power, I'd use it as a relay trigger. Since that’s a small inverter, you could run ignition power to a quick disconnect near one of your aux power plugs. Then wire a relay in to your inverter plug. If you plan to keep it in the truck all the time, I recommend you hardwire it to the junction block under the hood. It's early, so I hope I'm making sense.

Their is some sort of connector for power on the same panel the trailer brake wires to. Its called something like the SEO or such. I found a post on here that had a PDF file with the wire diagram. I havent had the time to go and purchase the connector for it though. It had 12V, ignition 12V, etc.

Thanks everyone. Auto electronics puzzle me a bit but I feel comfortable enough working with them. From what I have gathered here and a PM from MaxPower I think I can make it work with little to no headache. Thanks again.
