Hello all...

Well, we're on our way... Odometer start was 9207.

Just refueled, odometer at 10,535. Power-Pup set on Tow/Econ, Cruise-Control set at 60-MPH, Tachometer running at 1500-RPM.

When I hit a pretty good hill it downshifts into 5th, and the RPMs go up to 1800... (Man, this transmission is smooth)

From Las Vegas we headed over Hoover Dam down to Kingman, AZ. (153-Miles and 15.1-Gal) = 10.1MPG

Then on to Flagstaff across I-40. (152-Miles at 14.6-Gal) = 10.4MPG

Next (Staying on I-40) over to Albuquerque. (440-Miles and 34.9-Gal) = 12.6MPG

Next to Amarillo, TX. (330-Miles and 26.5-Gal) = 12.5MPG

We're now in Oklahoma City. (253-Miles and 26.6-Gal) = 9.5MPG

Overall; Lots of "Hills", lots of "Wind", outside temperature (starting out) between 95 and 103, here in OKC, temps are around 85... Engine temp stayed at 200, Trans temp stayed at 190.

Overall; 1328-Miles and 117.7-Gal = 11.3MPG, pulling my 10,000-Lb Travel-Trailer (This is Great)

Okay, report over (So far)

Now... Question... On the way into the campground my CEL came on... I checked the code; P0401, and according to my "OBD2" it means "Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected"... The OBD2 cleared the code...

What should I do? Is this something to be concerned about?

If someone could answer "Tonight", I'd appreciate it... We're off, again, tomorrow for Little Rock... I don't know when I'll be back on line, after tonight...

Thanks bunches,

PieMan

The cel is because of your exhaust. Mine does the same when towing. The system is very sensitive to changes in back pressure and exhaust flow. It is not a problem, I just clear it with the power pup. It takes about 5 minutes.

That's what I was hoping... This is the "First" CEL I've had... I'm sure glad I have the "OBD2"... and "Code Book"...

Thanks :thankyou2

A finger stick and a blocker plate will fix it so you never get one again, but you r need to remove them for warranty work.
