Sorry in advance if this isn't in the right area of the site!

I just took the junk stock hitch off of my truck and replaced it with a Putnam XDR and I wondered if there was a bracket available that would accept the factory 7 pin socket?? I could cut the stock one off and use it or even fabricate a new one but I'm pressed for time and feeling lazy!

I just figured if one was available for a few bucks, I'd just buy it and be done with it.

Thanks,
Ken

yes there is. Go to an RV supply house IIRC Pollack makes a bracket along with a 7 pin harness (also with a 4 pin socket beside it) that will plug directly onto the factory 7 pin plug. Just remove the factory 7 pin plug, and hook it up to the polllack plug/bracket. The bracket mounted directly up to my Reese Titan Class V hitch. IIRC Putnam and Reese are part of the same company, and there is a Putnum equiv to the Titan hitch, (XDR??)

Putnam also has a bracket for their hitch. It is designed like a u-bracket that slips over the hitch and 2 screws keeps it on the hitch.

Putnam and Reese are not the same company. Reese is owned by Cequent Towing Products who also owns Draw-tite, Hidden Hitch, Tekonsha, Fulton, and several others but not Putnam.

So no one makes one that can use the factory twist in plug?? What's the cost to buy the bracket and the bolt on plug with the 4 pin next to it that will plug directly with the GM harness??

I believe I paid about $35.00. Very nice set up.
