Are you planning on getting one of the early models that dont have all the emmision garbage restrictions and the need for ULSD?

EFI tuning will not work on an 07.

What are they going to use in the way of a ECM and management on the late emision 07's? True with the current stuff EFI live wont work on a early model 07.

Also with the mention of duals......our trucks run a single outlet exhaust out the turbo.....one pipe out the turbo outlet, one cat etc. The duals you see on some diesel trucks are for looks and just spit it after the muffler for 2 tail pipes. Very very very few true dual diesels out there becasue that means you need to be running twin turbos(and not compound twins like 99.99% of what the diesels run) but a turbo off each bank to even be able to have true dual exhaust

I know its not a true dual its single until u split it near the rear and yes its a pre jan 1st 07 diesel no emmis. bullsh*t why cant u use EFI live on an 07 i wasnt aware u couldnt use that or some custom tune.......

Max Power is not "bulls**ting" you.

the 2006 LBZ use a completely different ECM than the 2001-2005 LB7's and LLY's. The LB7 and LLY used ECM's that were based on the Delphi LS1/LS2 ECM's, respectively.

The LBZ uses a Bosch E35 ECM with a 32-bit PowerPC core processor. Communicates on the high speed GMLAN data bus, the old Delphi ECM's communicated on J1939/CAN.

So. Different data bus, different ECM, different way of communicating. EFILive wont work on an LBZ.

The 2007 "classic" HD's will be exactly the same as the 2006 LBZ's. So the early 2007 Duramax's will be identical to the 2006's.

The 2007 GMT-900 HD's with the new emmissions Dmax will use a very similar, if not identical Bosch ECM to the 2006 LBZ.

The early 07's can be tune with EFI if the vehicle is White w/ grey interior. EFI will be working on tuning the Red 07's soon after that.

sorry i wasnt sayin the efi tuning was bullsh*t i was sayin the emmisions were bullsh*t!! which it is thats why im gettin an early release i work at a chevy dealership i understand the LBZ is a different ECM then the LLY and LB7 i figure by the time my truck comes in in sept that there should be tuning avaliable! ? for bobo was your trans custom build or a new unit?

With a custom tune can u get the HP and TORQUE #'s around 450hp and 900+ftlbs and would a transgo be enough or would i need a suncoast

It's not even on their radar screen. So I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.

I guess they have to set priorities to develop software for what gives then the most bang for their R&D $$ and they don't see enough future demand to spend their R&D on this package. Obvously, I would like to be able to get it for my LBZ, but I can understand their position from a business standpoint. Only time will tell if they decide to change their mind.

if you were a software engineer and understood the complexity you would have a different oppinion.

please, take my word for it, its not "THAT" simple! Its not like EFILive is not supporting the LBZ because they dont want to or because they dont like guys who drive LBZ's . The new Bosch E35 ECM is 110% different from the old Duramax ECM's and its also different from anything they have ever seen before. The older Duramax ECM's are based on the LS1/LS2 ECM's which ahve been around since like 1997 or something. EFILive started working on, figuring out, and programming the LS1 style ECM's years ago, so when they saw that the Duramax had the same style ECM, it was "simple" to adjust their software and interface to talk to the Duramax ECM's, because it was the same base ECM they had been studying years before. Now with the 2006 LBZ's, there is a new ECM that no one has seen before. Its a very complicated computer with a 32bit processor. Its basically like taking a home computer and then instead of running WIndows XP, you write your own operating system and software. Its not easy. The EFILive guys have nothing to work with or base stuff on because the LBZ ECM is completely new. Now, the new 2006/2007 Corvette Z06 uses a SIMILAR ECM to the LBZ, the new Bosch unit. They are first working on the Corvette ECM, and then hopefully once they are done figuring out the Corvette Z06 ECM, they can adapt their software to also work with the LBZ. They will not be "addressing" and starting to look at the LBZ until the end of this year tho...so it could be next year before you see EFILive for the LBZ.

Ross and Paul (the EFILive guys) are incredibly smart guys and they work around the clock trying to figure this new stuff out. Give them a break.

Im def. not mad at anyone from EFI live its just something to get used to i guess everytime something new and better comes out we all have to wait for the aftermarket stuff to catch up im going to have to find some sort of programer.... or custom tune for my new truck not going to drive around a stock LBZ there nice but not even close to beein fast enough or having enough towing power those are the breaks i guess when u buy new.... if anyone is making programers or tunes for an 06-07 lbz let me know

PPE, BullyDog, Superchips and a few others. Good tunes and they should hold you over for a while.
