I just bought the new Alpine head unit with XM radio, Alpine component speakers, and an Alpine amplifier.


I have limited experience with installing these items. I would like to give it a try if I could get some information such as what type of wire to use and amplifier location and help on how to remove the door panels and radio surround.

What year is your truck. 03's and 04's are likely going to be a little too complicated for an unexperienced installer. There is a lot more to it then and 01 or 02. Your also going to need some additional components to retain some other functions. Onstar, chimes, low fuel indicater, steering wheel controls etc.
