Will an aftermarket cold air intake void my manufactures warranty? Who make a good one and what do they run cost wise?

Thanks

The AFE Stage 2 can be found in the $250 range, most places sell them for around $300 though. I've had mine on for several trips into the dealer and they've never said anything about it, I don't see why it would be a concern.

Some place the mass airflow sensor in a different location than stock and will make your SES light come on, or so I've been told. I went with the AFE because it keeps the MAF sensor in the stock position.

I just inst. the AFE Stage 2 system. The bottom plate of the box covers an open area straight down to the ground. I cut a 5" wide "notch" about 5" back towards the back of the truck and bent it down to make it flush with the inner fenderwell.

Thinking of hooking an oval ram air tube to the bottom of the box. Just thinking I may have a water issue in hard rain storms if I get too much ram air. Once the bottom is notched out it seems pretty easy to isolate the intake from engine heat?

Any thoughts?

Why am I worried about all this.......I DONT KNOW!!!!!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
