I get a metallic squeak at shutdown. Is this a common thing, or do I need to take it in? It sounds like a tensioner or something to me, but my old diesel sounds bad at shutdown too.

Just the belt slipping from the crank stopping faster than the accessories. Normal.

New here. Definitely normal. Thought something was wrong with mine at first too.

Ditto on the noise, I thought the worse. The info on this forum helps calm your nerves....
