Does anyone know what this noise is from sounds like heat sheild or loose bolt tick noise near front of trans and motor

Sounds to me that you have the Tick (http://dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=155&PN=1) .....Sound like someone banging on a typewriter by chance ??


Nothing to worry about ,many before you including myself ,have the noise ....

thanks it comes and goes. Its louder on the drivers side

Mine has it too... It's not always there. It will come and go.

I had it but it has been gone for a wile now. It showed up after an oil change. Then left after a 1000 miles or so.
