Good deal ....
They do look sweet to bad no one sees them sep us when we change the erl or just crawl under to take a peek see once in awhile ......
Heres my findings so far ...
There is a distinctive difference when the tranny is warming between sump temp and actual tranny temp that shows in the IC ... A good 20+ degrees ... Tranny will stay at 180 ish and pan sump will be a good 20 degrees cooler for a long time unless stop and go flogging ...
Once the tranny gets hot and the pan starts to heat do to residue transfer it gets closer in degrees ....I haven't noticed any significant drop in sump temp compared to IC gauge going down the road ... I need more time and consistent weather ...
What I have found so far is once parked the tranny sheds heat quicker in the sump ... For instance... I'll go for a good rip get it good and uniformly hot and park for an hour ...
Once restarted the gap in temps are back ... With the steel pan this didn't occur the temps stayed pretty uniform ...
I may sell my Allison deep pan with temp sender provisions to the highest bidder ... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Wink.gif
