Did a bit of searching and the consensus seems to be the FPR is the usual culprit for surging problems. Just wanted to say what is happening.
Last week coming home from work I stopped at a light. When the light went green added a bit of throttle and the engine instantly died. Put it in park, started it, pulled it to drive added a bit of throttle and dead. This happened 3 times and it then drove off normal. No other problems till today. I had gone to the lake fishing and had come home and parked the boat so the engine was still hot. I took off for lunch and when I left the stop sign at my street the motor had no power, and wasn't responding to the throttle. It moved about 10 feet and power dropped off and it started surging, probably jumping around 500 rpm then back to idle. Truck wasn't moving, I put it in neutral and hit the throttle and no change. It was on a slight incline so I let it back back into my street when I touched the break normal idle happened and it started to respond to my right foot. Put it in gear and off to lunch. Any thoughts?
