Has anyone installed an exhaust cutout right where the down pipe meets the front pipe? I tried a search and everyone who has installed a cutout did it after the cat. I want to know if installing a cutout somewhere on my MBRP frontpipe will make the turbo louder.

turbo louder? Nope. Exhaust sound crappy? Yup.

I dont know of any commercial kits for doing this, a while back there was a vendor here that dealt in electric cutouts, not sure what happend to them.

The reason i was asking was because after I installed the MBRP front pipe i had aparently not tightent the front band clanp tight enought, and i noticed that the turbo was very loud. After I tightened it back tight, it was a little louder than it was with the cat.
