I know I'm gonna get hammered by most of you, but I had no vision problems whatsoever with my power extending mirrors on my 04 Sierra 2500HD. That truck was taken from me before its time & I'm getting ready to jump into an 06. However, I don't really like the new camper mirrors & I want to retrofit the new truck with the powervision type mirrors. Problem is, from what I can tell, the power extend feature isn't compatible with the 06 "door module" - i.e. it can't be re-flashed to make the button function like it did in my 04. And I really don't want to install another separate switch for the extend feature. So, my question is: can I get an 05 or earlier "door module" & replace that component & then re-flash to make my 06 work just like my 04 did?? Where is (are) the "door module" - is it a physical piece of equipment, or just a chunk of software in the computer?? Appreciate any insight you can offer...
