Aren't the 94s mechanical? If so, I believe it is the head-rotor wear thing. (IP that is).

Ah, but I think there's a little bit of info here... it's a van. I think their time table was a little different. I don't know for sure, but possible.

Peter K, check the accelerator pedal. If it is good ole' cable and pedal, you're mechanical. If you have a little electronic ditty with some wires coming off of it, your electronic. That will help to pin point diagnostics on this one.

If it starts, then stalls, check LP.
If no start hot, probably FIP worn...may need renewal: classic pump failure causes no start (hot).

Peter , note that most posts have info regarding the vehicle owned by the person making the post. This info helps readers respond relevant to the case at hand. How many miles on FIP??

Vans run real hot underhood. Clean your radiator/condensor REAL good (well) to moderate temps. A thermostat renewal may also help.

Idling rough & smokey, too?
The lift pump in the fuel line near the tank makes a quiet, electric-motor-running sound (muffled buzzing noise) that continues for a second or so after the engine's shut down. If the lift pump's not buzzing, suspect the OPS (oil pressure switch). The pump's powered by the OPS but the pump's electrical requirements are said to be 4 times the rating of the switch so they burn out regularly. Replacing that switch (after reading of it here) solved 5 years of mechanic-baffling hard-starting & rough idling issues for me. Pep Boys has a special socket for removing/replacing the extra-deep 26mm switches for $10. It's a bargain if your switch is hard to get to.
