I'm the proud owner of an '05 LLY. I have installed the bully dog programmer and like the added performance. Recently the truck started to go into limp mode. When the truck has been sitting for awhile and engine temp is cool it performs great. Once you get down the road a few miles, engine starting to warm up and are at cruising speed it will go into limp mode. I have replaced the fuel filter numerous times and still have the same result, it does not even seem to improve the problem one bit. The programmer tells me it is a 1093. I have also saw a 1621 pop up a few times. I took it to the dealer today and they are telling me that it is a contaminated fuel problem, most likely the sock in the fuel tank is getting plugged. Has anyone else had a similar diagnosis? My dealer tells me that the sock can't be purchased separately. The module and sock can only be installed and purchased together. This will also not be covered under warranty since they have no control over a contaminated/dirty fuel problem. Any thoughts/ideas/experience you have would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Reineke

If you do a search on the 1093, you may find another solution.

This is what I was thinking of:

Does it sound right that the sock in the fuel tank could be plugged. Another question, do you know if the sock can be purchased separately?
