Ok well I found a vacuum line that was broke(orange) that's behind the alternator and fixed it, it was fine. Then I kinda lost boost again so I traced the lines to a solenoid on the drivers valve cover. I took it off and apart and cleaned it out. Now the metal plunger deal inside kinda has a mushroomed tip on the vacuum line side. Should it be like that?

Well, I put it back together and presto boost and power again. That only lasted about 1 mile. I stopped and stomped it to the wood and pulled hard to about 50mph then kinda fell on it's face. In the gas world I would think not getting fuel. Could I be right? I've never changed the fuel filter in the 8 months I've owned it. And I imagine that's on the backside of the motor near the firewall correct?

Could that be the problem because it is getting boost just takes forever to get to speed and to the shift points.

Also, if I were to change the filter and solenoid I spoke of are those dealer only items?

TIA

you can get filter at any parts store...change it...get some gauges screw the solenoid and make a custom boost controller.. yea the mushroom tip you speak of keeps the hose from fallin off

Naw the mushroom tip was inside the solenoid. I took it apart and there's a metal plunger and a spring inside. The mushroomed end was on the small side of it at the vacuum line side not the electrical connector side.

I do plan on getting some gauges but really don't wanna tinker to much with boost, I need reliablility.

Is there a code yet? I'd bet its that part that is actually bad. I'm assuming you took apart the one with a green dot on it, the boost solenoid. It's 30-35 bucks at the dealer. It's a common failing part that controls the boost.

I had 2 last week but had them cleared and never came back yet. They were for the boost sensor ckt A(which I belive was from the vacuum line) and injector pump cam sensor.

that low boost situation causes that boost sensor code that you saw

Change both your air and fuel filters if needed, then try again. Do you have any smoke under WOT? You may be running out of fuel for dirty fuel filter. And if you have much black smoke, it could also be dirty air filter. (Of course work out the wastegate issue first, that's the heart of the problem)

The pump cam code, doesn't sound good though. Still got that one?

Just an update...

Changed the solenoid valve and fuel filter and bled the fuel of any water.

No lights have come back on and it's been a few hundred miles and about 60 of them pulling.
