Its just about birthday time and the gf is looking for ideas.....has a 400 dollar limit and I want to get a new brush guard for my truck...I really want to go with the smittybilt one pictured below (but the stainless version) also was entertaining the idea of a prerunner..just wanted some ideas..would like to stay away from the typical full front brush guard...looking for something to make my truck different from most of the other brush guards around here...also no westin bull bars..been there done that....thanks for any help...I'd appreciate it if you can post pics in this thread...thanks again...mike

If you want a functional grill guard and not one just for decoration, see JoshH's garage. It's a Ranchhand grill guard. I've got a ranchhand too, but mine is a full front-end replacement and a bit out of the price category you listed above.

Here's mine before and after lights. I ended up removing the lights on top of the bumper for more air flow.
