I miss the Outside Temperature visibiity, since the Kodiak does not have this feature.

I've obtained a nice, small, Indoor/Outdoor Digital Thermometer that I can mount in the Cab.

The question is, where do you think the best place would be to mount the Outside Sensor to avoid:

1. Direct Sunlight
2. Engine Heat
3. Road Heat

I've thought of mounting it in the Cold Air Intake at the Filter Housing, but I think the Engine heat would affect the reading there.

Another possibility would be the headlight area.

Any suggestions?

under the truck....but not near any hot objects, such as the cover plates,or tranny cooler-...the stock one on mine is directly under the radiator, near the abs sensors...hope this helps-

Under the truck somewhere near the front bumper. This is where BMW mounts thier sensors. If you do this, you will have a "German Engineered" system. :stick_out

I puy mine in the door jam on the right side. It works well there just put it as far out as possible, like on the outside piece of metal.
