I am told that the electic fans will not keep the diesel engine cool. You could add them as they will help with the a/c and the fan clutch will not have to lock up as much. These work great on a gasser.

I am considering the Flex A Lite fan specially designed for the Duramax. Why wouldn't an electric fan work for a diesel? As long as the cfm is right, the engine doesn't know if its electric or not. Also the power robbing engine driven fan causes the motor to work harder needing extra cooling.

Does anyone have the Flex A Lite installed? I would love to hear some feedback.
thanks!

Read the fine print that comes with the flex a lite. It can't cool your truck with a max load.
