I run the AmsOil Toruque-Drive and I love it. Just changed it at 20,000 and it was still as fresh as when I put it in. Of course, all my fluids are Amsoil so......:) http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/atd.aspx

I have been using AmsOil ATF (not TorqueDrive)with great results.

Same here. No need for additives in the Ally. Just good quality DexIII or synthetic or Transynd or equivalent.

how much fluid should it take if you drop the pan and the screw-on and internal filter? I think I'm at about 10 quarts right and when warm it is on the middle notch between the cold and hot setting. I think this is about 1" low from the hot and that equals about 1 qt.

Im not sure how big a quart is but a complete "flush" takes 5 gal with the stock pan.

the GM deisel supplement manual says basically from full mark on hot to the low mark on hot is about 1qt and it's about 1"

IMHO if you think you have to use and additive, then you need to change to a quality oil. Good oils don't need additives. Lucus has great marketing though and have manged to buy their way into the market.

Totaly agree. In my business we have addatives that will turn Dex 3 into anything you want. It never quite works as well as the proper fluid. I have tested them all without success.

Measure the amount of fluid that you take out. My owners manual reads 7.4 qts. I recently changed my trans fluid after the truck had set for 11 days. The measured amount was 9 qts. & 28 ozs.
