I have decided to get around to replacing my inj pump, i understand that you cannot interchange just any pump.


The numbers on my pump tag are: A5DS483S5288


7996133 12558156


Which numbers are the important ones to match to a new/used or rebuilt pump?

P.S. truck is a 94 full size blazer 1500.

DS4-5288 pn 12558156 is a '97 pump - you can order a new one off that number - fits 1500 - 3500, EGR\no EGR, etc.


You may not get a choice - the 6.5 is out of production.

Probably be best - your '94 required an eprom upgrade to handle that one, iirc. The later stuff is for OBD-II, but not real sure what electronic differences entail.
