Yesterday morning I went to start my old 6.2 to go to work, it started right up ran for a few seconds then died. I thought my fuel gauge was off because it was a little below a quarter. I switched to the other tank but cant get fuel to the filter. If I take the filter off and fill it with fuel it will start and run for a little bit then die. I think my fuel pump is shot I am going to try that and I will update any changes.

Did you try the old air pressure fuel line bleeding trick? If you try and crank it out you will never (okay, so maybe you would eventually) get fuel to the filter.

Trying right now to get it started with new fuel pump. Tryed the air pressure trick but couldn't get any fuel to come out. How long does it usually take?

I got her running. Never could get fuel to come out with air pressure, mabey I wasn't doing it right? Filled the Filter on the firewall glowed the plugs for a little longer than normal, cracked an injector line and cranked, gave it a little WD-40 and she took off.

I'd say it takes about 40 seconds to get fuel at the filter if you start with empty lines. Sometimes the bleeder will get clogged and you won't get fuel. Also, if you don't open it far enough it won't work.
Glad to hear you got it going!

WD40 is a life saver, when i finally got the 1984 truck going again it had a stuck valve, because it wasnt ran for 4 years, and i poured the WD40 to it and got it to run and it loosened the Valve too :)
