I see all these pictures of the Dmax lighting up there rear tires I don't think I could do it if I tried granted I have 35" tires but even before that. There is such a big delay from the time you put your foot into it to when the boost builds up I don't see how without holding your foot on the brake. So how do they do it just curious I know a guy with the Banks six gun who claims as soon as he punches it he gets 20 lbs of boost.

A little bit of brakes and a whole lot of throttle.

Can one smoke em from a stop with no brakes though. My 33" Z71 w5.7 can. I know it's a gas truck and you should expect that but I hope I could expect it from a Duramax too.

Not stock no. But chipped you can. It won't turn them into butter but they will wear like a SOB if you do it lots.

A lot depends on the road surface. On my road I can smoke 'em from a dead stop with just mashing it for as long as I want to fry 'em. I've found a lot better surface to do test runs that will only burn 'em for a short while but they won't spin very loosely. Lots to be said for different surfaces and surface temps.

Never had a problem spinning the tires from a stop or slow speed roll on any surface. It doesn't even take full throttle, and I also have 35" tires.
